This Waste Prevention and Reduction Program has been developed in accordance with the requirements of Emergency Ordinance no. 92/2021 on the waste management regime, with the objective of ensuring a high level of environmental protection and public health by implementing measures aimed at preventing and reducing waste generation.
Waste management refers to the temporary storage, reuse, collection, transport, treatment, recycling, and disposal of waste, with the main purpose of conserving raw materials through the reuse of recyclable waste, thereby contributing to the reduction of pressure on natural resources.
